- The law firm of Ainley & Hoover began in early 1992, with the association of Michael L. Ainley of Paris, Tennessee, and Vicki H. Hoover of Franklin, Tennessee. Mike & Vicki were classmates at the Nashville School of Law, and their friendship turned into a law partnership. Within a year of forming the law partnership Mike and Vicki decided to form a personal partnership and were married May 4, 1993.
- Personal and professional partnerships usually do not work well, but this duo has made it work. Each is aggressive and assertive in their own way, leaving little room for error in decisions in the day-to-day practice.
- Mike graduatedof Law. He is a former Real Estate Broker, General Contractor, Developer and Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. Mike has vast experience in real estate developmen from Palmersville High School, and Bethel College, in McKenzie, Tn. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Nashville School t, construction, and appraisal in the State of Tennessee and surrounding states. His primary area of practice include Personal Injury, Domestic Relations, and Civil Litigation. He is also a Supreme Court listed Rule 31 Mediator.
- Vicki grew up in Savannah, Tennessee as Vicki Hodge and graduated from Hardin County High School. She earned a BS in Business Administration from Memphis State University. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Nashville School of Law. Vicki served as a Human Resources Director for 15 years, and was a nationally-known consultant and seminar leader in the areas of Labor, Employee Relations, and Benefits. She has authored numerous employee handbooks and training manuals including grievance procedures and progressive discipline plans. For her role in instituting one of the first statewide employer-sponsored child care centers, Vicki received the Governor’s Award during the early 1980’s.
- Vicki is licensed to practice law in Tennessee in both the state and federal courts, with focus on Domestic Relations, Criminal Defense, Custody, Juvenile Law, Personal Injury, and Civil Litigation. One of her major victories includes a jury award of 2.2 million dollars in a small, rural Tennessee county.
- In addition to her private law practice, Vicki serves as the Municipal Judge for the City of Henry, Tennessee, and has been appointed Lieutenant Governor of the Tennessee Municipal Judges Association. She is also licensed by the Tennessee Supreme Court as a Rule 31 Family Dispute Mediator.
- The practice has grown each year, to the point many people were being turned away, so the firm hired Anthony L. Clark in 2001. Andy came to the firm after having served in the United States Marine Corps from 1984-1990. He was a Detective with the Clarksville Police Department from 1991-1995, and served as a Special Agent to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation from 1995-1998, when he accepted the position of Chief Deputy with the Henry County Sheriffs Department and served in that capacity from 1998-2000. Andy brings enormous experience to Criminal Defense and he has proven himself one of the best Criminal Defense Lawyers in West and Middle Tennessee. Andy devotes most of his time to Criminal Defense, but also works in Personal Injury, Domestic and Juvenile Law. Recognizing his talents the firm made him a full partner in 2003.
- Andy attended Henry County High School and later received his undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Business from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. He went on to attend the Nashville School of Law and received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law in 2000. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Tennessee and all lower appellate and trial courts. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.
- Andy is a member of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and also a member of the Tennessee, Henry and Williamson County Bar Associations.
- Continuing to grow, the firm recruited Beth F. Belew to the practice in February of 2005. Beth is a Henry County native, and graduated from Henry County High. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Tennessee at Martin, and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Tennessee and all lower appellate and trial courts. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. Beth concentrates her practice in Workers Compensation, Personal Injury, Social Security Disability, Family and Juvenile Law, but is available for all areas of private practice.
- In January of 2005, the partnership decided to expand it’s services and opened an office at 204 Fourth Avenue South in Franklin, Tennessee. The partnership then announced Angela R. Hoover would join the partnership as a full partner effective February 1, 2005. Angela works primarily in the Franklin, Tennessee office, but is available for appointments in Paris as well. She focuses her practice in Personal Injury, Criminal, and Family Law, but accepts cases in other areas as well.
- Angela is a 1997 graduate of Franklin High School where she was active in the mock trial program, and was a nationally ranked debate champion. She received her Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. While in college, Angela served as President of her sorority, a UT Ambassador, and student lobbyist. Angela earned her law degree from the Cecil B. Humphrey’s Law School in Memphis. While in law school she was Student Bar Association Executive Director, and active as an Attorney on the Moot Court team.
